Kamusta ka, I hope that you had a meaningful week po. The above video and information or if you are reading this narrative on this vlog below are not made for kids. Please consult your doctor if you have allergies regarding this application. I hope that we all know, we are responsible for every action ( like following this application ) we are taking.

This video was filmed to just appreciate the wonders of nature. I used the following since it is a by-product of what is available at home po. I tested these mixtures on a part of my skin and scalp first before I decided to use them. Aside from composting the peels and husks, I thought of using them first j before it goes to composting. I try to live by what is available at home po, vanity is secondary but mainly to save for my son. I have long been worrying about how can afford this and that. If this is not your cup of tea, please ignore this video po but thanks still for watching, If this will help you improve your life ,this is for you po. The struggle is real when adjusting to this lifestyle. From my experience in the last few weeks that I started using these natural care recipes, it feels liberating that I do not spend on buying hair care products, it is not gross and surprisingly just right-since the shanpoo mixture has a jelly-like consistency then it both washes and moisturizes the hair and scalp , washes out germs from the body. I appreciate your time for watching my videos, from the bottom of my heart. Salamat po. - Karmina Kamusta ka, this part po was where I had to clean a space so we can have it rented out. My son posted several sound foams to help to cancel noise when recording and I read that soaking the wall with bleach soap and a little alcohol ( gin) for a few hours ( attended- may be done by an adult, not in the presence of infants, kids for safety and not also near devices that may ignite and cause a fire. After so it has been soaked ( after scraping the tapes) then apply light pressure to scrub off carefully to protect the wall's paint. Let me try it first before you do. Will film it. I still have to come back to finish this task. Anyways so I just wanted to share what's a typical day, I do and I try to squeeze in any physical exercise to my routine. Not sugar-coating things po, just being me. Ever since I changed my lifestyle of just eating what is not just healthy but what is available, we had bananas that week and it has been to this day I am posting this vlog story ,it's still sometimes the sole food I take. It adds to my savings, having a simple life . I started taking a nap in my 40s, do you? https://minafoodresearch.blogspot.com/ Natural Deodorant II Fresh Calamansi Juice( seeds ) plus Powdered Nutmeg - This is my second mixture as a deodorizer, it is simple, but requires the following steps, please read the above note or disclaimer before doing so po: Combine the fruit with seeds ( optional) , and add in the spice powder ( option to use other herbs and spices except for those that may cause a burn sensation like paprika, pepper-based, curry based, those that are salted and garlicky, and oniony is not applicable, I could have missed some -please comment below po) Simply apply a layer on your clean armpit ( after bathing or heavily rinsing it) Rinse well Wipe dry During heavy perspiration: I do this steps frequently especially after any physical activity, it just requires patience and gratefulness. It is honestly hard from shifting from the convenience of using a store-bought deodorant to this, the struggle is real but I have learned to live by it po. Good luck to me if I will be able to survive, I want to believe this is possible Natural Shampoo /Conditioner I Raw Cacao fruit shell, chopped plus water Natural Hair Color I Raw Cacao Bean Husk plus water Calamansi Fruit Peel Extraction after Juicing for ( Food Consumption) Calamansi Fruit Peel plus water Stored in the refrigerator po otherwise, you only extract with water before use. I have tried leaving the juice water mixture covered at room temperature, I would say it was still good for bathing up until the third day ( 3 days room temp)po. I wanted to color my hair and it does makes sense that cacao adds flavor and color to baked goods then it can tint anything, I would probably use it more often if I want it darker. Natura Coconut Oil Coconut Fruit Shavings with husk plus water Boil just until aromatic, cooking it through may require that you cook this using a pressure cooker or outdoor charcoal cooking because it requires low-flame boiling to make it tender if used as a confection or dessert you add sugar in and flavor with pandan. I used the cooled liquid as hair polish since the Natural Cacao Shampoo/Conditioner does not give much sickness so this is what I did just like during our grandparents' era. This was not that greasy compared to boiling a ready to boil coconut cream that extracts "latik with the oil". Reminder: I tried using it as a lotion, please read the disclaimer stated above before applying this natural hair dye.

Kamusta ka, I just posted stories 38, and 39, have you seen them? Anyways po, I hope you are doing fine, how are you spending your weekend? This is a late upload Just sharing the week of love. It was simple, spent it with family po. How was yours? If you have been following my story, I shared a few videos back that I had a fall ... Heart's Day exactly, was in the hospital to get my result from some tests and simply just rested, mom has been busy spending time with her high school classmates from abroad and we were invited for a simple lunch. I barely go out and I was honestly groggy, especially those days po. Feb 12, we went to a thrift store in Quezon City and I found this bride teddy bear, I controlled myself in purchasing it, I am trying to not accumulate too many things at home since we have so much stuff na po , if you see in my stories, I'm sure you do. Valentines Day- I just made instant noodles with vegetables and fried tofu for breakfast and fried chicken(kitchen). In between days, I had been looking for a neurologist in a nearby hospital. I try my best to add more items to this channel's merchandise store, and I have started the next multi-purpose apron project. I had some fish and pandan barley juice. We attended lunch with mom's classmates. Just sharing what I do with fruits and vegetables after cooking. Rinsing after a natural face, hair and body care is important.

Kamusta ka? I hope you are doing well. I have been taking care of this channel's store. Have a wonderful weekend.

Detailed story narrative of this entry is also in this channel's blogsite po.

Mom and dad gifted me a pair of rubber shoes. from Divisoria -as she uttered "pang trabaho anak, =utility shoes for you"  ,she was a bit laughing because the size was too big because they bought this from a bargain sale in  Divisoria, it really is the thought that ccounts hindi ba po. I told here I will just put something to fill in the gaps. I  avoid buying stuff anymore because of the clutter we have at home. Wearing it though is like I am always with them.

I conctinued cleaning a wall full of tapes po. Brought my food - roasted yam, papaya, cantalope , apple mango ,caramel pop corn, cilantro, coated nuts and water.

I am grateful to atleast been practicing a physical activity - yoga for beginners, my bends are still curved and needs to be corrected po. Yay 1 year na , I did this exercise when I was young pa , then I stopped. It was hard to religiously do it. I have come to embrace the aches and pains of it, not all but I strive to learn more .

The wall I had to clean as I have started weeks ago needs a makeover po. I try using soap and water. The first attempt  to using the following mixture:

2 cups water

1- 2 Tablespoonsbaking soda

2 Tablespoons dishwashing soap

2 Tablespoons Vodka, I used Gin

I t was able to remove some of the tape residues but needs another mixture to scrape it easier.

I also used the same mixture to clean food stained surfaces.

The range hood was quite hard to clean.

Whenever there's any fruit peel, I take the opportunity to use it as that of a moisturizer since this practice of natural body care started. My face feels warm so I used the papaya peel I had from my lunch po. RInse well after 15-20 minutes.  I also apply it in my neck whenever I have spare time to do so, I just squeezed this practice in because of the burning sensation I  I felt that day, I guess it was from after I did my exercise po.

CLeaning stained bottles, condiments  with soap water and vinegar, that needed soaking to remove stains.

I thought I cleaned the refrigerator a few months back thoroughly. I needed to redo it.

I still can't resist snacks, I had caramel popcorn po. Ang sarap kasi.

I showed a few foot wear items which is posted on this channel's blogsite. Salamat po.

Story #42- Mukbang and store items. #guava #bayabas #carrot #broccoli #banana

entry post has a narrative with it, video here

Story #43- An amateurs  product idea , foot massage and Mukbang , video the link here

I currently am still in the hand-stitching hobby po. Since I thought of pulling out a sun dress, duster if I may term it since I use it often at home.

I lost a little weight again and just a few weeks ago, I showed in one of this channel's stories that I reduced its size by folding the internal sides and sleeves as swell and handstitched it. This time, I tried to trim and cut the top and bottom plus the sleeves off to create a new style since I know this is quite of an old style already po. My respect to all designers especially my loved ones who are in the industry of fashion, due to boredom po, I have done this as part of my hobby at home. I just really love small things. Even baby clothes. It is probably because aside from I like children, especially toddlers, I wanted a baby girl during those days but of course, I am grateful for my son, I honestly handsewn fabrics ever since and kept it. I was shy again. This project may be of purpose to you who are home buddies. You may have some old things that you think need a redo, this video is for you.  See the photos of the dress' transition from trimming to maybe -these are possible proto-type products that you can start as a business like what I am doing. You are lucky if you are an expert in using a sewing machine, you can then make several in a span of time po.  I hope that you enjoy this story.  Join me also as I had a simple evening mukbang while watching  the famous Ms. Small Laude's Youtube channel , she's really funny and inspirational.  I also shared a few more in this story. I also collected a few tree seeds on this video. The wooden rods I found at the back of my parent's home may be a foot massage tool.

The mukbang part of the story has a narrative with it, please view the link here.

Story #44-One that counts, Basic Banana Fruit Cake with Roasted Cacao Frosting  video here

#bananacake #bananacakerecipe #plantbased #celebration #birthday

Kamusta ka ? Salamat for taking the time to watch my journey as a home person however we can call it po, in tagalog "taong bahay", that I have come to appreciate. This story is about simple celebrations . I had always wanted  a place where I can just be and share it to many. It is still a dream but I have asked the help of loved ones about this and I am praying that all in Our Almighty's grace, it will trascend po. You are are a part of this journey and I want to share this to you. Meanwhile as I create this by heart , I have come close to seeing it come true someday, somehow.  I wanted to share more but maybe it is inappropriate to just tell but walk it instead po.  Anyway po, back to story #44.

I enjoyed a plate of fruits gifted by mom and dad. Pardon me if I have been doing some shoot in my room ( because of the effect of the injury I had a few stories back po).   The plate consisted of  melon, avocado ( plus seed)  and  custard apple or cherimola fruit. The subtle and lite taste of avocado blended well with the sweetness of the custard apple  and melon. I washed my palate with melon juice that was simply melon pulp from seeds and cold water. It was a simple meal. I am grateful to have my parents provide us with this fruits, I hope one I can also grow them. It will need a lot of knowledge , experience and patience po.

There were several overripe bananas and I thought of also makin desserts out of it. My deep gratitude to a famous Youtuber ( Isabel Paige) who practices plant-based diet. I honestly am grateful for the talent of creating desserts and baked goods but Isabel Paige has shown so much of what simple food is.   I have been baking my whole life and maybe until I have come face-to-face with this new direction of my life, I aspired to understand more what basic nourishment is. Thanks so much to Isable Paige for being an inspiration. So I am practicing the most basic ( as far as I know lang po, please suggest more po) methods and adding what is around in the pantry. Not making it complicated and just being.  I want to share this  practice just might be of purpose to you.

Oven: Pre-heat your griddle over mediem heat on a stove or a simple oven at 350F or 175 C

Greassed baking paper

Baking time:

 30-1 hour depending on batch

overrioe bananas, mashed

melted butter for ( greasing baking pan or griddle) and some to add to the cake)

sugar

salt

vanilla

1 cup or more of flour

Blend all together being careful not to stir too much when flour has been added po.

Pour over lined and greased pan. Bake on a preheated oven  or cook over a greased and hot griddle. ( covered) until when toothpick is inserted comes out somehow clean but a bit wet that which the cake is moist .

Cool completely before frosting. May be served alon.

I aslo shared that a deeply scorched saute pan was finally restored through cleaning it with baking soad, salt, vinegar, soap water and dish soap.

I'm not sure if that was papaya that I ate while cleaning up.Or melon?

Just this morning ( March 25, 2023) I used the same recipe  for this dessert that I wanted to make for you.

Except that I used some pancake flour instead of the regular flour  and a added some cinnamon also some roasted cacao paste since that was what I have on hand po to give it a chocolate chipy- or marbled effect po. I also added chocolate frosting.

A simple bananaca cake with chocolate frosting version at it's basic  ( my versron po) . You may also use a piping bag to make elaborate designs. I remember when I use to teach baking a long time ago. Those were the days po.

Homemade Sweetened Cacao

1/3 cup mealy choped roasted cacao

1 T ablespoon sugar

Chocolate Frosting I

1 cup of chilled coconut cream

Story 46 Collab with Gymia Gymnastics , Sense of smell , Pre-loved Dress and Shoes, watch video here

#prelovedbranded  #sustainability  #gymiagymnastics #roadto100subs  #headbands #planet  #oilpainting  #perfume  #cacao  #henna  #hair  #scent  #lifegoals  #legacy  #motivation  #love  #family  #reallifestory #art  #painting #cologne #natural #hobby #homeschool #finds

The struggle is real po,the natural cacao water I use is not enough to tint my hair. White hair is showing after just a few days of application. So i found this henna powder at home . It will take time to discover a good natural hair color from nature. Henna is natural however , those that was not chemically prepared po and not store-bought so I can totally , which I know is impossible ,somehow maybe I will be able to discover.Otherwise I will need to tinit every single day po if I just use the natural way.

One more thing po, as I've started not buying and using store-bought toiletries (my kalokohan ) ,it made me feel sad when I stopped wearing any scent  for the past weeks po. Life is short to do so. Most of us have our favorite scent.  Luckily I found an old bottle of perfume at home ,this was probably my mom's or my sisters?  My sister said she will buy me my favorite perfume, I had it cancelled , as promised "no buying na po so I can save for my son". The struggle is real po. It is hard when you have a goal, my patience is being tested. I have learned to just be during this situation. Establishing the  "wannabe all natural habit to save for my son" is really challenging. I hope that when my son Jiggy (as well as you, Kamia, Luke and the rest of loved ones) I have never taken a path like so, that I have to give up for now po, just a dot to what life really means(only speaking for myself po, we all have our own beliefs and practices, sharing especially to those who are in the same road I'm taking, I just got tired of chasing all my life with regards to career and personal life), that life for me now is just being, all in it's natural state, whatever is ,it is what it is. Just basic. I have learned to be grateful  po with this practice. I just had to let go of all my attachments. One day as Mr. Robin Greenfield ( a famous Youtuber) said in one of his vlogs, (not in exact words po, just my takeaway ) that we are part of nature ( english ito ,wait po) as my life ends, then my body just goes back to the soil or to the ground  ( metaphorically speaking po,tama po ba ) , in short we all know , we can;t take any of all the material things we have when we leave  earth.

I had a chat with my niece, Kamia and my sister. Just listening to their stories is relaxing. It's nice to know that almost everyone is back to the new normal.
It was a Sunday, just a day of rest , family and personal stuff like going to church.  I showed in this story the other uses of calamansi at home, as deodorant and soap. Surpisingly lasts a day long po, seriously speaking. It really depends on one's skin etc, this also works for me. I will share more natural  deodorant  discoveries, of course po with the internet's help and some readings I do, that I will not deny po.

Salamat  po for your support on this channel. Your patronage is very much appreciated.  A summary of why I started using natural ingredients ( edible peels, extractions of fruits, pulps etc) because these are available at home po ( you may also have been finding ways to  minimize expenses by doing so too ), vanity is bonus and secondary now that I have aged, I'm quite done in beautification of myself, I just could not afford anymore the lifestyle I wanted and I decided to give up buying toiletries etc, other things to save for my son. I admit that my family helps me in raising him po,that  I'm very much grateful of. I just thought that ( well it was quite late of me po)  of giving up things that I accumulate may help for his dreams. I grew up comfortably and I never really experienced a hard life and this path I needed to do so to support a child's dream. I will share to you, all in God's grace why I needed to stop working full time. For now po. I also just wanted to share that we single parents can still strive to make it for our loved ones.

Please read the disclaimer before applying the following recipes on your skin:

The rice washing not just for cooking liquid for stews and for making kimchi, not just  for making wine, not just for watering the plants but is also used in skincare.  As it is, I use it for rinsing my face and when I want to soak my feet everytime it gets dry. All natural applications are stored in the refrigeratory unless you live in a country that snows and somewhere near the mountains for a very cool weather, then all these fresh natural juice may be stored anywhere. Same with the calamansi fruit extratction( overripe ones are still usable for me po) for as long as it was washed well, not rotting and still has good aroma- to avod food wastage .

Story #48 - Fruit: Tomatoes, Banan,Mango ,Cacao Tea, 3-in--1 cofee, water, New Items for sale, mindful eating- SHy mUkbang -sometimes with kwento ( with narrative)

Kamusta ka? I try to practice mindful eating since, why ? Because I have time to do it po, I understand we have different lifestyles po.  It just keeps me calm. I have learned to be more grateful ever since I do this practice.  The senses of our human body is vital in this time of day. Sense of sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste.   That each piece  is a blessing po, not being corny or as they say a cliche but it really is.  I experience for once in my life of not being able to eat what I like during a challengintimg time e in my life po, that was when I got to practice "imagery" - seriously speaking that I closed my eyes and imagined that food I wanted that moment and then I opened my eyes glanced on the plate ,on the food that was in that moment. I

have learned that it is what is in front of you, that time, that plate, that glass ,that piece of bread or nut or candy or fruit or a morsel of whatever meat, that chance for nourishment. I could imagine the hunger of those people we find in the streets how much they wanted something and is just grateful of what is given to them.  Simple as that po.  Just a few years back when I started to learn to just eat whatever ,literally, if there's just carrots, then carrot is going to be the food for how many days, I felt happier, just like that po. I know it is weird but maybe we just have different aspirations in life. or maybe some of you follow the same path. Aside from the fact that I cannot afford it now. One thing though po, I had defficiencies because of the lack of nutrients , that is why the people around me buys other things to eat, that I tell them not to. Haay anyways po. Had I know these when I was younger, would have saved more for my son. Well that's hwo we learn in life po.

Seeing the beauty of each pieces of nature on your plate. Hearing the pouring liquid of the tea on the cup, the feel of the cold drink, the hot temperature that masked the cup of coffee when my hands wrapped arond it, the feel of the steam as I carefully poured the boiling water onto the coffee premix,  the satisfying feeling when I wiped the wet rag on the tiled surface , the textures of  the food, the aroma or smell of light cacao, simplicity of nature , the bursts of flavors when combined with another, the sound of nature while savoring your plate, the colors , everything comes as in an orchestra to make the moment of dining a simple pleasure.  The marriage of the sunrise and candlelit and tranquility while everyone else was asleep.

As I have mentioned in the beginning , I have been adding finds from home to this channel's store. Please visit our blog site. watch video here , our website link here

Salamat for your support. I sincerely appreciate it.

Disclaimer:

Kindlycheck with your doctor, if you are healthy  and if it is safe for you to do this po before you try it at home,

Tuesday

Mom and Dad left for the US  and it is my first time spending this season just with Jiggy.  Sharing with you things I did during the Holy Week.

Aside from observing the practices, I try to rekindle how it is during this time of the year, just being, I cleaned and just did basic chores.

Picked up some huge dried leaves outside. The sound of the crisp, dried leaves signifies the dry season. Its color symbolizes transformation. It was good it rained a little the night before.

It really worries me when I have nothing to do. Of course, there are days you don't want to do some things but these days are different. Probably it is because I wanted to fill up my time po.

I got bored, I wanted to go out but do you know that feeling po that during holy week, pwede ka ba mag-enjoy? I admit of course I remember as I was growing up the changes from during the old days po that you simply stay home then the transitions of going out of town, with church visits  and now the convenience of attending mass online. Grabe na po talaga. Iba na ngayon. Going back to the part wher I ate out, not out po, but outside the house. That morning's quiet made me pick up this flower from  garden. It relaxes the eyes hindi ba po.  When I try to just be, that's when I realize life can be simple ( my point of view lang po).

Story #50 - Holy Week -P2- How I  control eating too much/Pizza

Tuesday Still , watch video here

It took me years to learn to control eating too much. Having always this in mind that "I should practice eating with my heart and mind".  I had to pay the price of having an eating disorder. Despite the challenges, it really is just nourishment and enjoying what is on your plate. My son wanted pizza the other day po. I ate very few portions before and now, I needed to eat just what will fill my stomach.   It was hard to dine with someone who loves eating, I do love eating but it stresses me so much when there's too much food.  I am grateful for the opportunity to dine with my son and to have something to nourish my body. Resisting something good is hard, we all know that.  I respect his pepperoni pizza craving. So this was how it went. I shared here how I try and practice to resisting every temptation ever since he was small. I struggled with bingeing having excuses that tomorrow will be another day to start eating less same as with starving myself to fill in that bad feeling of eating too much the day before.  This worked for me, just sharing po. I hope this may bring light to you who struggle with eating way beyond what is just enough for your daily need. I am not a nutritionist po , just sharing something that just worked for me.

We eat with our eyes- our sense of sight

Nothing compares to seeing a crusty and soft pile of baked flatbread, heavy red sauce, spices, and herbs, tons of pepperoni, and a thick, warm rich creamy yet sharp undeniably the best companion of all times - melting cheese all in one huge circle of happiness-pizza,in Tagalog "picha pie" po. Haay. Yes, we eat with our eyes. The moment that perfect memory and acquired taste hit my brain-"That's goodness po", just my own point of view po. It is true when something beautiful is right in your eyes, it does make you decide to jump into it.  I respect that. Pizza is one of the best, a favorite by many.  Please watch the video so you would see an instance of whenever I would encounter something that is irresistible. I just decided that I will not fight with it instead and just consume a little and adjust the way I eat or chew my pizza. Slowly, even the timing on how often you bring it to your mouth down to your plate, chat a little with your companion, just be still, appreciated what's around me during that time, then repeat.

Story #51-Holy Week 2023
"Salbabida"- FLoater- P3-Budget Free Daytour Dolomite Beach
Manila  watch video here

I was so bored the other day, it was a Wednesday of Holy week po. Human nature po that during this season, since my family is not around except for my son , I wanted to do something memorable. So this is how it went. I found a  box that I thought was a portable inflatable pool- ( I did not read the label ) around the house. So I confidently pulled a inflator and excitedly pumped air in the said thing, right in the middle of aerating it, shocks it is a floater  indeed po. Yes. Something memorable today I said, then I went out to read a little, that I needed to practice more oftern. At the back of my mind,  we should do something memorable today.  Then I went down the kitchen and ate a little sugarish- my favorite nata de coco po.  I was in hurry to eat because of the "something memorable" thing po. Luckily, JIggy agreed, instead of me building up a wanna be basin-style pool at home, we just decided to go to the Dolomite Beach at Manila Bay.  Please watch na lang po. The struggle is real when you are saving for your family. HIndi ba po.  I just wanted to share that it is possible to  have fun even  in such instance.  After our beach, we just  went to some malls nearby, ate in the food court, Jiggy had Tsukumen 's ramen, it was goo, I had Manila Taho the leche variety. Then we went home na.  Watch for more money-saving adventures local, local muna po. Salamt for watching our journey.

Story #52 - Holy Week P4-How to control your portions when you have a craving

This craving was from a few days ago pa po. I have been dreaming about it, salivating at the same time but really it is maybe true that when you want to eat something, maybe trying this method is a good way to enjoy life and at the same time satisfy that craving. Please watch the video for a detailed run of the story.  I wanted that western -feel, something with vanilla, waffle, or french toast taste with berries and a mound of clotted cream with syrup, yes, the works of that goodness on a late morning.  It is a  Saturday of the Holy Week and abstinence and fasting are observed so I tried my best to find something in the kitchen, the nearest that could match what I like to have if given a chance po. Just sticking to how I practice my own version po of portion control ( just sharing po).  However, in this video, I also wanted rice and fish. The story falls on how I usually consume these, as considered a big meal.  I ate the breakfast on this side of Mom's kitchen, Jiggy was still sleeping, I guess it is raw to just eat or dine with you guys, shy making. Then later on in the video, I wanted to share with you my love for music, not that kind of -"I am a musician" but that sometimes rhythms run in my mind (wow), , is truly such a gift from Our Almighty the talents or gifts are given to mankind, how a single sound when combined becomes a tune, so this story has a tune cover of some songs that I miss during my younger years.

Being in the moment, hearing the sound of the silent morning with a bit of nature's sound from outside.  Muning's ( neighborhood cat) meows whenever food is being prepared and during dining, the sound of the smoked fish being stove-grilled as well as the view of seeing the blue flame flickering on the skin side of the sea meat, the blast of the opaque color of the coconut cream as it was combined with the ube)purple yam) banana raw compote.  The toasty feel of the chocolate chip bread halve as it lost its texture when it was topped with the compote. The feel of the fish, sliced tomato with rice as it was patiently picked up by the fingers to the mouth. The hot rather warm coffee as it washed down every bite and swallowing of the craving. The simplicity of the chilled water and tomato pulp liquid brings a neutral note to the palate. The aroma of the grilled fish, everything po. Thank you for reading this story. Just a simple message to just being where I was at the moment.  I know this is not a typical meal for THe Holy Week, just being human. I do give in to cravings, the solution is to just have moderate portions so I am not totally depriving in effect -eating more and beyond po. Just my point of view po, I respect many ways to satisfy each and everyone's craving.

I need to feature a dress that has been added to this channel's store. A princess-cut dress that I used when I was a wannabe princess in my teen years. It took so much physical activity execution before I was able to fit into this clothing. It is for sale po , Salamat once again for keeping me company guys, I appreciate your time po.

Story #53 Holy Week 2023-P5-Bed Cover Wash Speedy Pomodoro

It's been days since I promised to wash this bed cover. I had the time to do it today. Did I term it correctly, pomodoro? Anyways po, it's a holiday and some nearby laundromats are also on a holiday plus the sun is good po , there's water and soap. It's a good day to do this chore.  Let's try how they do it in the old days, I don;t have the tray that they scrub each piece of clothing onto. I dripped the washed fabric and hung it for an hour then laid it on the roof. I hope it does not rain tonight.

Story #54 Holy Week 2023- Eater Sunday, watch video here

Brother's Burgers

Happy Easter to you. How did you spend it with your loved ones? My easter was simple . I just prepared some egg-inspired dishes .  I made too much pancake, for the rest of the day that turned out until  for  the following day po.

Sunday, Easter, we usually eat out but I started a few years back to bring food every time we go out to save up. No other reason but really to keep up with the times. It is a challenge to do so, the family does not like it but  I needed to because I am not working po. Will share with you some of these days why po.  Preparing the meals when I started led me to something, a deeper understanding on patience, and what life is. This is just my personal point of view po, I just wanted to share. I respect all other beliefs and practices. I appreciate it when you still try to read my articles just in case we have different perspectives in life. Perspective is one thing I completely have forgotten, some people in my life reminded me of this, I am grateful for the great lesson. They way we view things should vary because we are all unique in many ways. Going back to the story.

Off we went to our usual Sunday Practice. Heard mass and ate in a burger joint. , We tried chair massage and Read a little in a bookshop in the mall. Passed by a coffee shop and, a favorite health shop, Filipino-inspired  shop . There are several ways to spend an ocassion. Please watch the second part of this story. Salamat for your support. I hope you had a meaningful Easter Sunday with your loved ones.

Story#55- Easter Sunday Part2-This is why there's a part2 . #foraging #dailyroutine #mukbang #yoga #Getreadywithme
,watch video here

The reason for having a part 2 was because, I am just borrowing the computer to edit my videos po. Whenever possible I'm able to publish straight up without cuts. Anyways po. This is the part before part 1. I had breakfast. This is what I usually do po, since I needed to cut down on my food intake, maybe having a little pancake on a Sunday is fine. The coffee had milk since we needed to finish the packed milk at home which is nearly due.

Why I need to aesthetically stop  or pause before slicing my pancake portion because :

I wanted to share ( this just works for me po, you may adjust your portion) how I practice eating slowly, which eventually developed discipline in consuming a huge portion in one sitting.

We have access to several information on the right way of eating, there's none exactly, for me po it is maybe a  matter of just knowing how much your body needs. Also looking at and appreciating what we put in our mouths is another thing to remember. I use to eat just straight up, eat drink, and go. I guess you realize things as you age.

The pancake is already was sweet for me po, I did not put any sugar and had enough butter taste so I did not post any. It is boring po, maybe this may help us in understanding if it's necessary to add layers and layers of these to everything we put in our body? Just my point of view po.

The lunch box and water,I always have this anywhere, sometimes pouched. Primarily to save for my son po. I may be wrong po, but It changed how I look at things now. Please ignore if this is not your practice.

I practiced a physical activity on this story. The changes from the time I decided to do yoga,  a year now have made a big difference in my life po. Choosing the right physical activity is important too. You must be able to enjoy it besides the health benefits it gives you. I need to learn more and hold on to this practice because there are days I am challenged to just not be on the mat.

I added some new and free items on this channel's store too.

The Get Ready With Me Portion
I am camera shy po ( pero ng vlog) but I wanted to show you the nature-inspired cosmetics I read from some good resources like Google and a great book on healing that I will show later on this video po.

Lip Tint Recipe is on Story #47 of this blog's Youtube Channel

ALl Purpose Moisturizer
1-2 T of Coconut Oil  or Olive Oil
1/4 t  dried herb ( used Rosemary )
1-2 pieces dried Bay Leaves
Combine and place in a clean, dry vessel and store in a cool dry place. I apply this just when needed like when I feel my skin is getting too dry. This may be applied to all parts of the body, lightly if you wish on the hair.

It has been liberating to use just a few for my face. I really could not afford that lifestyle of having a lineup of make-up however there is a huge difference to quality though. I have been saving more because of this practice.  The tint may also be used as eye shadow or blush. Maybe increase the red ingredient in the recipe ( for the recipe for the lip tint- please watch story #47.

I also introduced the segment for this blog's Youtube channel - Foraging 101 -learn with me - digging deeper into appreciating nature's blessings.  I am not a professional on this po, but taking baby steps to learn it is a good head start. It is dangerous though that is why further research and education from professionals and experts on this is important. I also want to meet local foragers here ( Philippines). Will bring you to this journey with me.

Salamat po for alwys watching my journey. I am deeply and humbly blessed to have the opportunity to share with you just a little of what I know and share what I learned from others too.

Story #56- Starting something but sustaining it is the hardest. Healthy Chips  #foraging

Thank you once again for your time. Your support is very much appreciated.  Starting something that you dream of is important , a vital step but being able to sustain is the struggle.  Lately I have started studying about foraging. I needed legitimate resources from people who are experts in this field po. I realized it is not as simple as plucking leaves randomly but as I read through,it is definitely something to consider seriously because other living things , the community and us as the foreger as well are affected . I learned that there are laws that you should know before foraging. Exreme study of each wild plant and it's look-alike is needed. I will be sharing a few  things I learned from some resources I learned from DOST ( Depeartment of Science and Technology) here in the Philippines, some other readings as well. Samahan niyo po ako as I go deeper into foraging.

I also shared some things I often do at home on this story. How I consume food. How I spend my free time. What keeps me busy aside from doing home chores. Making each moment at home productive and fun at the same time po. My nature-inspired ,some of it kinda lifestyle is just something a recently started, niether I'm an expert on this po. I really just wanted to save up (like everyone else) for my son because we only have enough as I am co-parentling with my parents for some personal reasons( that I will share in the right time) , I also just wanted to use what is available  and this has been making a positive impact in my life  and I want to pass it on to you, vanity has been my least priority -"hindi naman po kagandahan" but I realized  this so modern lifestyle we are into does not fit mine anymore. I was not able to keep up in aspects of my life. I need to be efficient by doing all these especially for my loved ones. Taking this path is not easy though po. I do have struggles in giving up with what I was used to, the simplest lifestly I know currently.

Food and Non-Food Storre
We have a small place in the province that blesses us with harvests of nature. Some needed to be manufactured for selling to keep up with our daily living  and along with those abundance are peels, pulps, piths, branches, husks, shells and seeds-these are still usable as large industries utilize them and personally practicing by using these wisely is what I share and use it myself. To share to you that it is possible.

The non-food store was inspired because we have so much accummulation of things at home and we needed to let go of some and some are being passed on. These have been taking up our energies and the answer is to declutter po. I thought of sampling some clothes, things shoes etc while at home to show the features of each item. I do spoof if for fun lang po.  That's just me po. That is one I have learned- as one of my aunt's advice- "happy lang", it is true. Learning to have fun is important. Anyways this story has become a novel. Please enjoy the film, thanks once again for reading.

I am not sure regarding the recipe , meanwhile I provided the link below for a sample po. Jiggy practices cooking and has been bringing it to his date. I ate with an overripe banana and rice. When I know how rich the food was prepared, (in my

Giadzy Italian Meatballs
copy link here:

The Healthy Chips was from a long been  in the pantry Rice Paper, I simply toasted it for about 2 minutes and there you can have a lean version of healthy chips. They definitely do this in most asian countries. This may also be applied to our local rice  wrapper ,those for wrapping vegetable lumpia. Maybe toasting it longer.

Fruit Bowl
1 Tablespoon Buko Pandan  Condensed milk, pure Bignay Fruit or Wild Currant, Pancake Piece, pure  Mango Puree ,Passion Fruit Pith halves , 1 Tablespoon Coco Cream and cold water
Stir well and consume as slush. I used water to thin out the rich ingredients also instead of add too much dairy in my bowl.I usually have this for a meal. It is lite.

Foraging 101 ,Learn with me

Finally po , a diary indeed, early morning of the same day, one of my routines alternating with dad, this is the part after cleaning the lawn. My trying hard ( i have been doing this but has been putting aside years back) foraging experience just around the house muna po. They say the best part is to start is where you are within the backyard. Well I checked some in one of the lots in our street.

Story # 57 -Nature's Gift, Youtube Story, watch here

Kamusta ? I hope you are doing well I was not able to upload lately due to some errands po.  How was your week? Mine was a bit busy since my parents are away and I have to take care of some things.

Yesterday, I roasted some cacao after fermenting and air drying it for a month. You may watch a few strories back about raw cacao processing and chocolate vlogs po.

I also got some oregano leaves to make tea. since I did so many things this week ,I got sick also because ( please watche the video).
The part where I get just be when I'm tired.

Then I did my next attempt for my foraging 101 -learn with me. I still have to identify the harvests, kindly visit this channel's blog site for updates. I just don't want to assume that what I have read was enough, plants have look-alikes po. That night I I decided to prepare for foraging. I got some gloves, scissors, a mesh bag, my phone for reference. Those ideas  that I thouught I would need.
I wore something light and comfy since I will also be trailing a little just around our place but a bit steep and rough.

I only had coffee, something light to start the day. It was still dark when headed out po. As I started this goal of nature appreciation, I  realized what I know is just a hint of what people  know about nature. There's yet to discover, how nature has been providing all our needs.

Things I saw as I walked up the park near home

As I came closer, indeed a fallen green mango= Indian Mangoes, some were bruised and some were good.], some were ran by some vehicles and bruised due to extreme heat and misture from the rain. I looked around if someone cared to take it. No one.

1. some tiny green fruit, I am not sure if these were baby mangoes?  (gutter side or the street)

2.  This I did not forage of course po, I just appreciated the beauty of this topiary.  This cone-shaped tree along the way.

The sun has come out and people have been going out for their morning routine. I was shy but I really wanted to do this.

3. The plant from the ground with several lool-alikes. I tried feeling the textures of each specie, if it was hairy, rough, prickly, stingy, the effects on my skin. That is important when you forage as they say. Using all our senses to get familirized wiitha each plant.

4. The fourth one was another leaf. I think this will require years of experience , patience.

5. Clover maybe?

Then I got tired and tried hanging around. There  is a picnic tabe in the park. As I always acknowledge people from which I am continuing to learn the true meaning of life. One of those "We are nature" -Robin Greenfield's on his Youtube Channel, this really made me realize life is simple and short. I made it all complicated. I kept finding what it is. It is what it is. The solidarity, clarity of  the beauty and blessings of nature, everywhere we look in this earth we call it is life.

6. The look-alike of a crab apple, still I am reading on.

I tried to see the cross section of this unsure fruit of something, I am excited to know if these are edible , if so, then I would be in that place every single day -just hte fallen pieces I will take, as they say -only take what you need. Spare for some who wishes to experience nature's abundance. Even so ,spare some the animals and other plants that feed on these wild species.

7. The tropical with a red flower plant  was so beautiful.

Can I just say this in tagalog- Ang galing ng nature, kinum[pleto from food to art to shelter to a lot of by products to life to etc. All we need in life is already just around us, all we need was to be stewards - to take care of it for the  offsprings of the young generation, the coming generations. Some people took care of it for us to enjoy in this lifetime then it is our turn to do so. I regret those days I just did not careabout these things. You only learn through time too.

On the way home, I found some beautiful flowers, a tree that looked like a "kamias/Cucumber tree". I am not sure what these are?

I gathered the day's harvest fron the ground, barely picked but picked up from shrubs and the tallest from a mango tree.
The fruit that looked like crab apples or even a "spanish plum", still I have not researched on the exact name. I opened it and wanted to show the cross section ( in the story).
I also saved some from the bruised pieces of Indian Mangoes. If I were stranded in a remote place and there was not food at all, I would regret this moment that I wasted some savable parts of this fruit, I will personally practice appreciating every bite that each food from nature offers. There's so much food being thrown away. Even then when I was working, I've seen a lot of wastage, a thing in the industry that needs to be solved.

Salamat po for always checking out my blog and watching my channel. I appreciate your support.

Story #58- Repair/Reduce/Reuse/Rekindle, watch here

Decluttering

One of the things I try to do at home po is to minimize as much as possible beacuse again, there's so much stuff at home.  To have a clear mind, I need to unload a lot of stuff so I can do what needs to be accomplished. Jiggy my son is soon to start his new chapter in  life and the holes in my pant's crutch that I was stitching is what I have always done for the past years. If I can remember I only bought  new clothes just last year, the rest were from when I was young or gifts from my parents and family, that may be out of leage already to those who are fashion critics. I guess you pass that stage. People who knows me would tease me during college, if I could update my make-up because I used it to the last smear, gadgets were only updated just lately but not a techy person. We were trained to be ' cowboys"  because mom and dad are simple in their own ways and that is what I'm used to. I guess this is true  to many of our hardworking parents who had a hard life and made it. Success to me is another story po.  I remember a time , I think I was in high school when I raally have started bringing lunch even when going out with friends, my son could not believe that I ate that lunch in the restroom because I didn't want my friends to see, so that when the group decides on a place to eat, I will just order the least priced on the menu, that way I will be able to save.  It really was not obvious because as I 've shared in my previous narratives that I never have experienced  a hard time in my life ( except for some chapters po) I guess that is why I always wanted to be on my toes when needed. So that I would remember what if all these are gone. One day I will share why I had to stop working to earn for my broken family ( I am single parent po).  Anyways  po, did I just not put a period on this matter. There's so much to share po. I am grateful if you have reached this part of the novel rather narrative.

Five Senses of The body
Fruit Boul Shy Mukbang sometimes with kwento ( green mango peel, wild currant, mango puree and guava)

We eat with our eyes, then all the others follow. Nature is indeed full of life and beauty. The Fruity flavors that harmonizes the palate exudes shades of colors, marriage of flavors, cleanses the palate and keeps  our body and mind pink ( healthy) and clear.

Husk of Roasted Cacao Bean /Ube/Pandan  Drink

3 cups cold water
1 cup of husks ( peels from roasted cocao beans)
1 Tablespoon of pandan condensed milk
2 to 3 drops of ube flavoring

Blend in a bottle.  Shake.Chill for an hour.

Reducing the clothes and things I wear. Indeed maybe a challenge or full immerson on trying somehow minimalism. I pray that I will survive this. As I write this story, I am on my second day.  I have been practicing this for several months already. I even have to decide if I am using this size of suitcase or a bigger one or 2 pieces of small ones. I just grabbed anything I can found at home. This suitcase is mom's  suitcase collection for her project po.  I hate travelling, all of it,this is not about that rather  practicing to reduce  loads of things .This will be like my closet. A month of immersion. I hop I survive it.

My son's baby clothes, just a pair of pants and shirt, the shoes I can't find still.   It is my first time to be away from him. I have to let go  so he can start and improve  whatever life he chooses to make.

Salamat po for watching. I appreciate your time my fellow hobby homeschoolers. As I've said in the video, I am overwhelmed with so much videos to edit.

Story #59 I ate doughnuts. Gratitude and Joy. #grid #doughnut #donut

watch the Youtube story #59 here

Doughnuts are made in heaven. Personally, it makes me happy. That maybe true many or not to many too. I just want to share how I have learned to love this craving but still considering it's effects on my body.

I would be a hypocrite to not admit thaThen again po if this is not your lifestyle I totally respect that.t I can finish four pieces in a row when during those days. Yes, it is sugar, the reality that comes with it. Health professionals and life's reality will always remind us -that is unhealthy to load so much on sugar. However I do respects other people's lifestyles po , please don't get me wrong. This hard-to-develop habit may just contribute to those who are having a hard resisting this heaven-made type of food that is pillowy, and sweet but right with a bit of saltiness that blends well with the filling and topping/s, the smooth and creamy texture of the filling and topping that highlights the softness of the fried dough. There are doughnuts that are baked and some have tried making their own versions. I  am one of those since this is what I do. I realized that maybe I can enjoy it but having complete knowledge of its effect on our body may support that problem- how can I resist something that is so good-literally when it is served, right on your plate, screaming "eat me". Then again po if this is not your lifestyle I totally respect that.

What I do is I choose what I like in a box of this deliciousness. Then I started by eating just a piece, that's it, no more no less. I admit I gave in to 2 pieces before or alright just a few months ago po. I tried sticking to that mantra ( wow) because just a piece of this goodness is worth hundreds of calories already po. Then I tried doing just half or a piece, strictly, the family I am in loves to eat, mom and dad are disciplined and the rest are human beings like us. I have programmed my mind that I can find happiness in other forms like a  food swap example: a piece of fruit, a handful of nuts or simply as just having a water or sugar-free beverage just to fill up the space those pieces of doughnuts would have been if I had a more than a piece.  One thing is when I eat too much of this, the happiness fades away. I have read that, and I have tried doing so, that every time I ate whole foods ( nuts seeds, fruits, vegetables, real food) it is boring but the positive effects it gives healthwise and mentally is so pronounced, happiness becomes somewhat called gratitude and joy. Maybe then, I can have both a little of doughnut and tons of gratitude and joy.

I have learned to eat wisely po. That whatever I put in my mouth is what will transcend in my lifetime. I want to eat healthy(from my own point of view po) for my offspring and loved ones. Maybe it dawned on me that if I give 100 % on exercising then food should also be 100 % , just choosing the right kind of food. Then again po if this is not your lifestyle I totally respect that.

Youtube  Story #60- My version of Titanic, watch here

Free giveaway of a bag and a pair of shoes

 I defrosted our fridge.

It was after Holy Week that I found the time to defrost our titanically loaded "with ice, not food po" refrigerator. It has gone beyond the worst of the ice age to avalanche to sub zero, whatever you call that. Seriously speaking, when the entire of appliance has been performing improperly, it was time to do so. Decluttering the fridge felt like a relief for me, I guess for many homemakers.  So this was what happened.

I found some;

Frozen passionfruit, which I was worried that I don't have food anymore. It is true if you keep your eyes wide open, truly there will always be a way to find food. One trying hard mantra I try to do is to buy less packaged food, but of course, I still fail to do so po. Any harvest from our small place in the province po, we usually store it in the freezer to prolong its shelf life, it does work with other vegetables not just peas and carrots.

I also made steamed rice and fried some beef tapa for Jiggy.

Frozen Mango puree, and guava fruit. I was so happy to find out there was food. That's one of my wishes to not buy any more just whats around. I know that is impossible. I will find a way po.

One thing is when you defrost, you have to juggle time between what food is quick to serve and using a huge space in the kitchen for defrosting. It was chaotic.

I also found some Tamarind perfect for any sour-based recipes or if this was ripened (naturally) -simply add sugar, chilies, and salt to make those tamarind candies.

Ever since I learned mom's recipe of Paksiw na Bangus( we do have versions of our own po), Paksiw na Bangus ( Milkfish in Vinegar Garlic and Ginger) has been a favorite.

A lot of bread bags. This huge wide-size slab of ice that was stuck in the lower part of the appliance( chiller) as in not in the freezer has been waiting to be saved. Only jars and containers were holding it against the wall po. I got it out by slowly removing jars, because it was heavy, it was set to dismantle on its own po. The carrying part was the challenging one.. I transferred the slab to the other sink. Just to let it melt. I don't know if this was good to dispose of on a pant ground?

I put all those that needed to be thrown out in a sack. Saved what needs to be saved.

I also had time to scrape off a large variety of tomato seeds for planting.

I enjoyed sorting the fruits I found. Also when I had to push down spread pouches, a great way to at least save a meal for a day po.

I got a cold glass of water, and really got tired and hungry po. So this is what my usual breakfast po. If there's fish, then I would have that if none, then it will be any fruit or vegetable. If there's none, I have been learning to forage. Anyways this is a different story, please watch my foraging stories na lang po.

A new pair of flawed heeled shoes and bag are free for anyone who might have the talent to restore and be able to use it still.  Please do not hesitate to contact me.

Salamat for keeping for watching. I appreciate your time.

Making use of citrus fruit peel

The Wonders of Rain Water

The Indian Mango Season- Fruit Shy

Mukbang

 Green Mango  Peel Rice

Disclaimer':Warning: not suited for infants, kids adults with special cases in diets

Hi fellow hobby homeschoolers, I have peels from a citrus fruit mom brought home po,  I forgot the name, this is from a province here in the Philippines. It was raining that day and it  was a great day to have something to do. I collect peels also. Citrus peels are one of the best and usable part of a fruit to utilize for other uses.  I honestly forgot the name of this citrus fruit , it is somewhat light yellow, the smallest version of a grapefruit, it is light and mild and sweet as well po. Mom is not around that is why as I edit this video , I don;t have hte name . Anyways po, join me as I take you this day of the month ( APril 2023) , as how I tried making something out of the peels.

If fruit peels are leathery: I  would use it as a confection  or bonbons , it can also be an air freshener, a candle flavor. I wold also boil and discard water (thrice) first to remove the bitterness of the "pith"-the outer white layer before the actual green peel that makes it bitter and retain the green  or yellow or orange part. Then straight to using it for making dishes like those citrus-inspired dishes and more too for baking.  I can also add the peels to:

a jar of sugar - to make cirtus -flavored  sugar

when flavoring a sauce for cooking

add to sauces  for cooking

add to seed, fruit and grain oil for making salads

add to desserts as base, filling , garnish and as simple as confection

add to  essential oils for making candles and some cosmetic uses.

There's so much to discover about fruit peels. The goal is to be able to preserve it properly to avoid molds. You want take out the bitterness and moisture but not too much to also save the oil the comes out in ever citrues peels that is industrially extracted through an oil extractor . Manually as you rolla citrus fruit, or run a zester, fork or micropeel or even just peel a very thin film with the use of a paring knife, if you use your senses  , a burst of flavor comes out that when sniffed through our nose, a refreshing zesty volatile suspends in the air hence giving that strong mild flavor. Something about it po that makes citrus fruits amazing.

Rain Water

To this age, there's nothing more I can ask for  but just be grateful for the memory of this story. As I narrate this story on a hot weather ( 2nd of May 2023) , just watching this raining scenes soothed  me. Our Creator has provided everything from food to shelter to a life full of blessings. I would be lying if I don't express how much I complained about the hot weather but ,yes there's nothing to complain about, thos rainy day as I took some videos has passed and this day I am in now is the season for the sun to  provide light and balance that the wet season has shared in the past months.

The abundance of Indian Mangoes anywhere in the Philippines. I had some from our tree at home, just a few I got, then some around the neighborhood and some I brought from sellers nearby. I had "bagoog" . Whenever I find time, I save the peel, wash it thoroughly and chop it. Then I add a little rice, this then serves as my starch when eating or can be as salad.

An  amateur's diary on Wild Plant Observation- Story #63, Key To Live, watch here

It was a Sunday. I did my routine that day. Pulled over somewhere and thought of having my wiper fixed. I decided to go to Fisher Mall ( Pantranco, Quezon Avenue), went up and the mall, and found out that I needed to have the thing that makes wipers move( you get po what I mean?) Anyways, I put that task aside and strolled around and saw this food store "House of Gata and Sweets"- Yessss!! Ginataang Bola-Bola  (Glutinous Rice Balls in Sweetened Cococnut wtih  Jackfruit, Tapioca, yam , etc). They have all these coconut-inspired dishes like Taro Leaves in Coconut ( Ginataang Laing), etc. so I ordered along with my lunch. Then I also had fried egg balls-Tokneneng. This was not the goal but anything for the coconut, a favorite.

Then I saw a skating spot on the third floor. Skating is a fun activity. I hope I would be able to do this one day po.

Then I went home. As I was driving, passing by nature, I just had to park and decided to forage that afternoon on Sunday.

Chinese Violet Leaves, as herbal medicine for asthma, also an ornamental plant, it blooms Violet flowers

I will call this "Letting Go of Ego." That foraging is somehow defined as finding free food from nature. I personally could not afford to shop for anything at this stage of my life. Aside from the fact that I practice eating more plants, I realized that there is a solution to this. As they say, if you just closely look around and appreciate what Our Creator is providing. Here I am po, picking what has fallen, just taking what is needed. Sharing it as well.

Climbing Hempweed- Mile-a-minute vine- medicinal use is yet to be  discovered but some properties for healing cuts and minor external bleeding

Fig-leaved Gourd, may be eaten and cooked as vegetable when raw, ripe stage for making desserts

An Amateur's Diary Foraging -wild plant observation. I have been reading about which are safe to consume and those that are poisonous. This is my third time to see what's around. I assumed I found some nettle leaves and was yet unsure. It would take a lot of experience to be good at foraging. I just enjoyed the patch location. I even lost my car key. I met some people who were collecting some grasshoppers, and students around who were playing volleyball. I was so grateful that they found my key.  I also was allowed by a farmer -Mang Alberto to take a few clips of his vegetable patch. It was a random day.  Thank you -salamat po once again for watching. I appreciate your time.- Karmina

Roasted Raw Cacao Husk Waterwith Milk

clean and sterilized bottle with cap

8 ounce water

3/4 c roasted cacoa shell

1 teaspoon of sugar

2 Tablesspoons milk

Two-Piece Chewy Roasted Cacao Cookie Recipe

Mindful Eating- Shy Mukbang: Steamed Smoked Milkfish, Indian Mango Peel with Rice, Boild Egg and Water and A piece of Longganisa

This is what I do when the weather is too hot po. Liquid intake. It was relaxing to watch the kittens of Muning. After that I just rested a little and started doing a physical activiity ( Yoga).

Then I ate smoked milkfish that was steamed , some indian mango peel with rice ( from foraging) and boiled egg. And yes chilled cup of water to go with that. The taste is simple. Smoked flavor with the starchy rich flavor of the egg  while the fruit peel was cleansing and the rice that compliments the entire meal. I have learned to eat mindfully, I am pretty sure many do practice this too. I understand to some who are very busy may find this too time consuming .  I craved for a  piece of meat from a covered saute pan and a little more rice to keep it company. An excuse.

Then I pounded 2 cups of cacao beans. Left some for other uses. Then I made this recipe.

Two-Piece Chewy  Roasted Cacao  Cookies

Pre-heat oven : 350 F, 10-15 minutes

a little butter/vegetable shortening  for greasing the aan, or use a silpat  or baking paper

1 /2  cup coarsely pounded roasted cacao beans

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 Tablespoons tapiocca flour

pinch of salt

Simply mix everything until well combined except for the tapiocca flour which I added last and mixed gently to just keep it soft and chewy when baked.  This I baked for less than 20 minutes  since I use an oven toaster, so it baked quite fast. When you take it out,  as the sugar in the recipe cools down, as exposed to air, the cookie stiffens. Just making sure that is not underbaked.

The product was chewy, sweetness is just right.

Salamat for watching po. I appreciate your time.

Kindly watch story #63 here

Mom and Dad just got back (from The  US) po from visiting my Sister and her family due to the long overdue reunion during the pandemic.

I tried ripe Indian mango slices, with some orange peel slivers Mom and Dad brought from their flight from a few days ago with shamrock from foraging at home. Please read the disclaimer po. It was simple, it tasted bland but the mangoes were good.

I have learned to eat simple flavors. It is good for my health. Yes, the family thinks it's boring. I tell them, this is what we have on our planet. Anyways po.

Breakfast with Mom and Dad, they try to not talk when I shoot, off cam, Dad would crack jokes, Mom would listen, and I would do both. I often give them some quiet time. They weren't together that much when we were growing up ( with siblings due to work. They are retired, semi-retired, or as they say there's no such thing as retirement from having a family po.

Lunchtime came. we were all tired from the picking up from the airport late at night, then their jet lag, whatever food that was sent by my sister and family, those were what we had. Like this Blueberry Almond Energy Bar.  I honestly had 4 of these, I know it's bad po, but yes I was hungry. I just wanted to share the clip, you might be wanting a mukbang of this treat po.

I also had to transfer to another room po, the weather was too hot for Mom and Dad, they are staying in the room where I use to.

I also want to share how it has been on my 15th day of living with lesser things ( kindly watch story #58 on Youtube), I am starting to realize the many things I had before that I don't use anymore. Having lesser things is better. There are struggles like washing the clothes more often since you only have a few. I needed to make sure that the things I decided to have are going to be my essentials.

Turtle-neck shirts on a topical country

The part where I needed to alter the turtle-necked shirt for a better fit since I am in a tropical country. I cut a slit at the back part of the neckline to hide it because of the weather, I know I had to give up some regular tops to have four of these, I need to survive in detaching and putting the neckline together depending on the season po. I just roll up my sleeves to adapt.

The Sandals

I bought this pair of short hiking sandals in a store in Cubao, it is big and so I just kept it because there were so many restrictions during the pandemic when I planned for a hike and the rest is history, we all had plans during those days but was delayed and all that po. I just thought of maybe having a shoemaker trim the sole to my size po. That I found the shoemaker yesterday, and he said it's possible.  So maybe in this part, I tried to restyle the straps for a more comfortable fit p. You may want to try it too. I would use the original style for a real hike. This is what I will use for now and a regular flat pair of shoes.

I wanted the taste of peanut butter and so I made this recipe since there are bananas at home.

Peanut Butter, Cacao Beans and Banana Ice Cream

(Increase the quantity of you wish to make a pint (x3 ) of the recipe)

2 Tablespoons pounded roasted cacao beans

pinch of salt

2 pieces bananas ( i used small ones)

1 Tablespoon peanut  butter ( not heaping because this peanut butter has too much oil  po)

Banana Peel as Moisturizer

Since I don't buy most of my toiletries except for some po, I use fruit and vegetables as my cosmetic. Then I simply rinse it with water.

I also have been doing some projects that I needed to use first before I share it with you po. Then I also wanted to show you how simple the banana ice cream was, it tasted simple. That's what I look for when I eat, nothing complicated anymore, life is too short.  The book I showed in this story is my go-to book for self-help,I do have some that I passed on already po. I found this book in a second-hand book shop.

I had Aratiles fruit from a fruit shop in UP Diliman Coop.  I remember we had a tree at the back of our house in Novaliches that bore Aratiles fruits, these cute babies, my favorite po. We would have a contest on who would get the most and keep it in our shirts, that we used as the basket to bring inside the house.
