Kamusta ? I hope you are doing well I was not able to upload lately due to some errands po.  How was your week? Mine was a bit busy since my parents are away and I have to take care of some things.

Yesterday, I roasted some cacao after fermenting and air drying it for a month. You may watch a few strories back about raw cacao processing and chocolate vlogs po.

I also got some oregano leaves to make tea. since I did so many things this week ,I got sick also because ( please watche the video).

The part where I get just be when I'm tired.

Then I did my next attempt for my foraging 101 -learn with me. I still have to identify the harvests, kindly visit this channel's blog site for updates. I just don't want to assume that what I have read was enough, plants have look-alikes po. That night I I decided to prepare for foraging. I got some gloves, scissors, a mesh bag, my phone for reference. Those ideas  that I thouught I would need.

I wore something light and comfy since I will also be trailing a little just around our place but a bit steep and rough.

I only had coffee, something light to start the day. It was still dark when headed out po. As I started this goal of nature appreciation, I  realized what I know is just a hint of what people  know about nature. There's yet to discover, how nature has been providing all our needs.

Things I saw as I walke up the park. Read with photos here ,look for story #57 here, watch Youtube story here

As I came closer, indeed a fallen green mango= Indian Mangoes, some were bruised and some were good.], some were ran by some vehicles and bruised due to extreme heat and misture from the rain. I looked around if someone cared to take it. No one.

1. some tiny green fruit, I am not sure if these were baby mangoes?  (gutter side or the street)

2.  This I did not forage of course po, I just appreciated the beauty of this topiary.  This cone-shaped tree along the way.

The sun has come out and people have been going out for their morning routine. I was shy but I really wanted to do this.

3. The plant from the ground with several lool-alikes. I tried feeling the textures of each specie, if it was hairy, rough, prickly, stingy, the effects on my skin. That is important when you forage as they say. Using all our senses to get familirized wiitha each plant.

4. The fourth one was another leaf. I think this will require years of experience , patience.

5. Clover maybe?

Then I got tired and tried hanging around. There  is a picnic tabe in the park. As I always acknowledge people from which I am continuing to learn the true meaning of life. One of those "We are nature" -Robin Greenfield's on his Youtube Channel, this really made me realize life is simple and short. I made it all complicated. I kept finding what it is. It is what it is. The solidarity, clarity of  the beauty and blessings of nature, everywhere we look in this earth we call it is life.

6. The look-alike of a crab apple, still I am reading on. I tried to see the cross section of this unsure fruit of something, I am excited to know if these are edible , if so, then I would be in that place every single day -just hte fallen pieces I will take, as they say -only take what you need. Spare for some who wishes to experience nature's abundance. Even so ,spare some the animals and other plants that feed on these wild species.

7. The tropical with a red flower plant  was so beautiful. Can I just say this in tagalog- Ang galing ng nature, kinum[pleto from food to art to shelter to a lot of by products to life to etc. All we need in life is already just around us, all we need was to be stewards - to take care of it for the  offsprings of the young generation, the coming generations. Some people took care of it for us to enjoy in this lifetime then it is our turn to do so. I regret those days I just did not careabout these things. You only learn through time too.

On the way home, I found some beautiful flowers, a tree that looked like a "kamias/Cucumber tree". I am not sure

I gathered the day's harvest fron the ground, barely picked but picked up from shrubs and the tallest from a mango tree.

The fruit that looked like crab apples or even a "spanish plum", still I have not researched on the exact name. I opened it and wanted to show the cross section ( in the story).

I also saved some from the bruised pieces of Indian Mangoes. If I were stranded in a remote place and there was not food at all, I would regret this moment that I wasted some savable parts of this fruit, I will personally practice appreciating every bite that each food from nature offers. There's so much food being thrown away. Even then when I was working, I've seen a lot of wastage, a thing in the industry that needs to be solved.

Salamat po for always checking out my blog and watching my channel. I appreciate your support.
